In order to ensure that the Green Gauge interventions and actions are implemented to meet the targets that have been set it is critical that there is accountability for the progressive implementation of the required actions. AECI has ensured that the responsibility and accountability for the action and the achievement of the targets is vested at top management levels in the Group.

EMS

INTERVENTION: Identify Group businesses which still require ISO 14001 certification and develop a Group-wide certification programme
TARGET: Identify sites which have not been ISO 14001 certified and develop a programme to achieve certification by mid-2013.

STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION

INTERVENTION: Implement Waste Reduction and WC/WDM Strategies.
TARGET: Initiate the implementation of Waste Reduction and WC/WDM Strategies in 2014.

INTERVENTION: Implement the “Green Award” concept for the best-performing Group business.
TARGET: Devise a “Green Award” concept and plan implementation for 2012/2013.
